Every year American Liberty University’s (A.L.U.) Board of Directors selects one or two educated and accomplished personalities, scientists, artists, designers and business people from more than 280 candidates for the Honorary Doctorate Degree. The acceptance of Honorary Doctorate Degree has usually been introduced at the annual A.L.U. commencement ceremony held at the University in the Los Angeles, California.

American Liberty University’s Board of Directors, after carefully reviewing all candidates’ backgrounds, for Honorary Doctorate Degree for Class of 2013 have chosen the legendary, world renowned author, business coach, and motivational speaker, Dr. Brian Tracy.

But this year the ceremony was different from the previous ones. This year ALU had decided to have this ceremony in the capital city of Tehran, Iran. Since Dr. Tracy had a two-day seminar in Tehran earlier that week, it was a perfect scenario for the gathering of the honorary ceremony to occur.

Dr. Kevin H. Soltani, founder and president of American Liberty University, said about the honorary ceremony: “The reason we’ve decided to have this ceremony in Iran was to make people familiar with this beautiful country and to understand that these two countries, the United States and Iran, one with an old history and rich culture and another with highly educated and advanced culture. At the same time two countries have intelligent and hard working populations to one day work with each other for future cooperation”.

The ceremony had been held in Hamayesh Farazan at Tehran. This was the second trip for Dr. Brian Tracy to Iran to have his special seminars regarding business coaching and motivational speaking.

Hamayesh Farazan was founded and established by Dr. Sepehr Tarverdian, who is also a world renowned speaker, motivator and the seminar manager and coordinator as well as being an Alumni of American Liberty University. This company has grown to become a famous and active organization, in its range, in Iran and one of the best ceremony organizers worldwide.

The ceremony had started at 4:00 pm in front of more than 1,200 businesspersons, CEOs, chairpersons, high ranking managers from some of the largest companies in the world. All of the professional delegates in attendance arrived full of energy and ready for a day and night of networking, speaking, and sharing of ideas for the creation of new business partners as well as new friends.

The sold out audience was very excited and at the same time very surprised about this special ceremony. Professionals and bright minds ranging from scientists to contemporary artists, from doctors to motivational speakers, everyone brought the positive energy and maintained it throughout the night.

The ceremony had been scheduled for one hour, however because of continued good energy inside the auditorium atmosphere and the warm welcoming from audiences to Dr. Kevin H. Soltani, Dr. Brian Tracy and very special surprised guest, legendary musician and singer, Dr. Shahram Nazeri (2012 recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degree from A.L.U.); the ceremony had finished at 7:30pm and continued for post networking sessions in the one of the beautiful restaurant in Tehran until 11:30pm.
